The white Coast

The Costa Blanca, in English “The White Coast” extends from Pilar de la Horada in the south to Denia in the north. Alicante, the city of light, separates the south from the north of the Costa Blanca.



This coast of Spain on the Mediterranean Sea is characterized by its mild curative climate, which was named one of WHO in Geneva at the healthiest in the world. Low temperature fluctuations, an average temperature of 15 degrees in the winter and plenty of sunshine throughout the year, the Costa Blanca (white Coast) is not only for attraction magnet for tourism since the late 60′s. The Sierra Aitana inland from Benidorm and the Sierra Bernia behind Altea, and the Montgo in Denia are the largest mountain ranges up to 1600 meters high above sea level.

The south of the Costa Blanca with the known locations of Torrevieja, Orihuela and Pilar de la Horada is slightly drier compared to the north of the Costa Blanca, lie much farther with less green vegetation and the mountains in the inland.

The city of Benidorm is the destination for many, especially British tourists with its kilometer long sandy beaches. Calpe is located further to the north similar to Benidorm touristy, but many (especially englishman) long-term residents and winter visitors have settled here.
